Rica Pastries Pty Ltd was established in 2002, with the objective of servicing an increasing demand for quality and price competitive portion controlled cakes and desserts, suited to today.s evolving marketplace. Eduardo De Mello and Manuel Villalon are partners in the business, and have differing but complementary backgrounds in baked goods.
Since our establishment, Rica Pastries has grown from 3 people to a staff of 16 by the end of 2005. Fresh and frozen baked goods are manufactured in our purpose-built factory kitchen at Ingleburn, NSW, on the fringe of Sydney. Already, these products are distributed throughout the Sydney metropolitan area, parts of NSW, ACT and QLD.

Products are manufactured in a purpose built factory kitchen, meeting the highest standards in baked goods manufacturing, based on a HACCP Food Safety Program.
Rica Pastries management and staff are committed to the importance of the individual customer.s requirements and will always endeavour to fulfil these in a time efficient and price effective manner.
Rica Pastries reflects the awareness of a modern manufacturing business that has high standards in food safety and hygiene and produces products that are of consistently high quality, good visual and flavour appeal and reliable availability.
Rica Pastries offers a range of cakes, friands, muffins, Danish pastries, slices and desserts to both the foodservice and catering sectors. The product range is diverse and appeals to a broad ranging clientele. Our full range is available in fresh chilled form and many products are offered frozen as well.
Products manufactured on the premises use the best quality ingredients available. The time taken in production is strictly minimized due to the advanced technology of our equipment. Production is highly mechanized to reduce human contact with product to the minimum. The cooking, chilling and freezing procedures are strictly controlled and regulated in accordance with current food standards and safety legislation. Ingredients are contracted through a HACCP approved supplier and strictly regulated.

Rica Pastries take pride in our 560 m² custom built factory kitchen, with manufacturing operations arranged in five sections.

Dry, chilled and frozen product storage
Products are transferred into the cool room, the quick recovery freezer, holding freezer, or dry storage according to product type and requirements. With the rapid growth of the business, additional frozen storage capacity was added late in 2005.
Our Products
Rica Pastries already have a range of over 100 large and small baked products, some very traditional, some with a special Rica twist and point of difference. These are detailed photographically and descriptively in our current full colour product catalogue. Where possible, they are produced by machine, resulting in consistent and well presented items every time. Our aim is to cooperate with our customers with variation to improve a product or development of new products that are specific to their marketplace.
Our Dedication to Quality Systems and Control
The safety and integrity of Rica Pastries products are guaranteed. Our manufacturing, warehouse and distribution facility is accredited, based on a HACCP Food Safety Program that is compliant with The World Health Organisation Codex. It is subject to periodic independent audit by AFS/NCSI. Quality control procedures are rigorously monitored and appraised.
